Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

antwoorden , I am glad you found Scan Tailor Experimental useful. It's surprising the CLI mode worked for you at all, as I remember it was seriously broken in the Experimental version. As for "adjusting curved lines", that feature was present in earlier versions as well, on the Output stage under t...

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

tomse,

Unfortunately, I don't see myself working on Scan Tailor again. It's been a while since I touched it the last time, and I never felt like going back to it since.

Re: Adding new scans to an old project?

The new files don't have to be in the same directory. In fact, they are not even required to have names distinct from those files that are already in the project.

Re: Scan Tailor Advanced

Orpheus2017,

This commit should have fixed your issue. I am not sure if it made it into Scan Tailor Advanced or not. You can try applying it manually and see if it helps.

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

Hi tomse , It's been a while since I worked on Scan Tailor Experimental or any other version of Scan Tailor. There is also no one else who could implement new features. I can only suggest you to make sure you are running the latest version, which you will find at the top of this page . As for 96 DPI...

Re: What geometric distortions selections to use/choose?

First of all, if you have two pages on a single output image, your "Split Pages" settings are wrong. Dewarping is not going to work on two pages at a time. The correct distortion mode for your examples is "Curved Lines". However, your case is too hard for automatic dewarping to handle, so you will n...

Re: Unable to get ScanTailor Output

You run batch processing by clicking the "Play" button. If there were two pages on the photo, you still need to run it.

Re: Unable to get ScanTailor Output

Have you followed the advice of running batch processing on either the "Select Content" or the "Margins" stage? If that still didn't help, please record a screencast, upload it somewhere and post a link here. For recording a screencast, I would recommend the free BB Flashback Express software.

Re: ST just for splitting pages

I am no longer involved in Scan Tailor development, though I can point you to the relevant code. The page splitting algorithm is roughly as follows: Do some pre-processing to suppress stuff other than more or less vertical lines (see filters/page_split/VertLineFinder.cpp) Find such lines in pre-proc...
