I'm using scantailor-cli.exe 32bit Version: 0.9.11.1 and the --dewarping option doesn't work. It produces the same output image when I have --dewarping=auto and --dewarping=off . To keep same size for all images you need either process them all togather or try use --content-box=109x267:1482x2134 parameter instead of --content-detection (this parameter is for something else ).
ScanTailor does not cache the images displayed in the middle pane it should just remember detected (or set) parameters. If you are switching between two images there is still necessary image processing to generate actual view. I don't plan to implement such cache in near future.
New release of enhaced version include feature that allows to select different compression for tiff files (or disable it).
