Re: OSX MacOS. Sierra Scantailor

Never mind. I'm sorry. I checked out the wrong git repository.

Re: OSX MacOS. Sierra Scantailor

I followed your instructions but doing so gives an eror: $ cmake . -DCMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=/usr/local/Cellar/qt/5.8.0_2 -- Boost version: 1.64.0 -- Found unsuitable Qt version "5.8.0" from /usr/local/Cellar/qt/5.8.0_2/bin/qmake CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:124 (MESSAGE): Qt4 could not be found. Re: Scan Tailor "Enhanced"

@Pejuko
Still the same error. Thank you for your efforts. Could you explain how to build ScanTailor on Windows.

@Misty
I successfully built ScanTailor with Homebrew but where is the binary stored. I dont see a mac os typical App-bundle. How do I run it?

Anyone else getting an error prompt saying "this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect"? I'm running WinXP SP3.

Re: OCRFeeder

Exporting to PDF "Seachable" and "From Scratch" is now available for OCRfeeder. Also hocr-support should be coming soon, according to the developer. Wouldnt it be great if ScanTailor and OCRfeeder become one application?

Re: PDFBeads — Convert Scanned Images to a Single PDF File

There must be something freeware. Sadly there is no open source or freeware solution which embed the annotations inside the pdf without destroying the work of pdfbeads. I already tried Skim which is the only one really capable of annotation but it's framework isn't supported by many Applications. S...

Re: PDFBeads — Convert Scanned Images to a Single PDF File

After further investigation I discovered that tesseract must be responsible for that error. I did run pdfbeads on every single tif-file and monitored the terminal output. It turns out that some files did have ancient greek characters which tesseract recognized as german umlauts. I'm not exactly sure...

Re: PDFBeads — Convert Scanned Images to a Single PDF File

I think I've discovered some kind of bug in pdfbeads. I tested it under Mac OS X Lion (10.7.0) and Ubuntu 10.4 LTS with the same errors. Basically I tried to convert the 156 tif-files of a ScanTailor output into a single hocr pdf. I think it must have something to do with the quantity of the tif-fil...

Re: My workflow for almost djvubind-equivalent PDFs...

Does someone use Mac OS X for pdfsizeopt? I run into some trouble regarding the jbig2enc binary I compiled from Mistys Homebrew Forumla. See the issue for further information: http://code.google.com/p/pdfsizeopt/issues/detail?id=49
