Yes, I'm running it on a Mac when I see the tiling problem. I tried it -- no tiling problem with Windows with Java 7.

I didn't have any problems zooming in or out or using the slider, but I didn't try it very much. My Windows VM is too old to install Java 8, so I didn't try it there.

Would one of the Hackerspace kit scanners work? How big is the ledger? Does the writing cross the seam of the page most of the time or just a few pages?
