Re: SC Radically Cropping Image
I think what is happening may be: I am not using the "Split Pages" feature. I have had some wild cropping since this post, but not at the angle. I have gone back and clicked on Split Pages and been able to change the capture. Then reprocessed the offending image through Deskew and Select C...

SC Radically Cropping Image
A couple of times now I have had an editing problem. The first time, I went back to my Opticbook and scanned the offending pages to solve the problem, but this time I thought I would ask for some advice. Below you can see what Scan Tailor Advanced has done to an image when it starts to process it. I...

Re: How to Darken a B&W Image
Update: I have played with the shutter speed to darken the images. It seems to work. My lighting is 2x40 watt incandescent bulbs. I was using a shutter speed of 30, and have moved to 125. The images look dark on the pi capture screen, and on the Scan Tailor screen. But, Scan Tailor does an excellent...

How to Darken a B&W Image
I am not sure whether the problem I am having with light B&W images is related to camera exposure or lighting or something else. The image on the left is with my DYI scanner running two Cannon 2200s. The one on the right is with my flatbed. I would like the result from my DYI with the 2200s to a...

Re: Picture Zones:(
If the program marks an area as a picture zone that I would prefer not marked, is there a way to remove it?

Picture Zones:(
https://www.cull.ca/junk/picture_zones.png These images are one clipping from one page. As you can see Scan Tailor is handling them all differently. They should all be gray scale images. There does not seem to be much to play with as far as adjustments other than the "Higher search sensitivity...

Can Canon A2500 capture in grayscale
I am wondering if it is possible to capture the scans in grayscale rather than color, if so, where?
I am running Pi-Scan 1.5 with a setup similar to Tenrec.
Thanks

Re: Pi-Scan 1.5 with A2500 Cameras
Thank you for the input, I now have everything working as it should, I think:)
I am wondering if it is possible to capture the scans in grayscale rather than color, if so, where?
I should probably start a new thread to ask this...

Pi-Scan 1.5 with A2500 Cameras
I have a Raspberry 2 with a Raspberry 7" touchscreen. It looks like it is working as it should. I have a couple of used A2500 cameras. I have flashed a couple of 35G cards with pi-scan-camera-a2500-4317.img. I have a couple of A2200 cameras with chdk on them. It is easy to see that chdk is oper...
