I am uploading a couple pictures in case anyone is interested. The two cameras are Canon PowerShot A2200. The scanner is painted matte black. However, for image processing I found it helpful to have a *white* background behind the books, so I've taped 2 white regular pieces of paper on the book-hold...

I have an already assembled bookscanner (one of the kits), including 2 cannon cameras, camera trigger, and eyefi cards. I also splurged for museum glass for the glass plates.
