Re: Scan Tailor Advanced
What happened to that version of scantailor that started multiple processes in task manager, one per thread to process multiple pages at once? I'm using the newest one and it processes one page at a time.

Re: djvu 1bit vs 8bits
Maybe a single page compressed differently? I compressed a whole book and the same issue didn't happen.
I think it was a false alarm. When I view the djvu at 100% zoom the quality is higher than "fit width to the screen". Fit width seems to blurry the edges of everything.

djvu 1bit vs 8bits
Just noticed something: A single text page, with grayscale or 1bit, results in the same PDF with mixed raster content. Maybe some bytes of difference, but they look the same. However, with djvu the result is different. Grayscale results in a somewhat bold text and 3,5x times increased filesize. It s...

Re: Scan Tailor Advanced
Can scantailor detect corrupted files? My HDD is corrupting images at wild. When a project happens to have one image file corrupted, scantailor overloads the HDD to the point that windows almost completely freezes. I can't even load task manager to terminate scantailor because it takes like 10 minut...

Re: Scan Tailor Advanced
Noticed that blank pages causes scantailor to crash when exporting pages, if there is no content box.

Re: Two very similar pages, two very different results
Changing the settings doesn't help. However, if I go in image editing program and erase the gray background by hand, then ST doesn't "get confused" by the background.
STA 1.0.12. Different hardware doesn't affect the processing, does it?

Re: Two very similar pages, two very different results
https://postimg.cc/image/cj0psw4u1/ Here is the original scanned page.
The other images are printscreen from scantailor itself (latest advanced version)
In the whole book thre are about 5 pages that happen to produce that black thing, all others are OK.

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"
Why does scantailor erase shaded areas? I'm scanning many math and physics books. There are lots of pages with shaded graphs or figures such as triangles, circles, etc. The shaded area is shaded with black dots with a pattern to make it gradually darker or lighter. Scantailor always tries to clean s...
