Re: BookGapCheck: Quickly check if there are gaps or duplicates in a set of book page scan images

It doesn't work for situations such as Bill's scanner Not sure what the issue would be. If you draw the area a bit larger then a little movement in the position of the book relative to the camera is no problem. But if the book is moved around a lot between shoots then yeah this might not work. Or s...

Is the location of that rectangle based on the image edges?
Yes. Should work ok if the page numbers are even only roughly at the same x/y position in each photo. Probably easiest if you give it a try and see if it works well with the type of photos you have to work with.

Re: BookGapCheck: Quickly check if there are gaps or duplicates in a set of book page scan images

Thanks for posting. It's an interesting tool and could be quite helpful. I first heard about this technique in the video describing the Google linear traveling book scanner in 2012 and thought it could be handy ( Google open sources a DIY page scanner ). The section of the original YouTube video de...

Re: TTC Error: Could not start the cameras - month before work fine ?

My best guess is that Windows update may in some unknown situations remove the LibUSB driver.

If that happens first try to only reinstall LibUSB for the camera(s). That solved it for me last time I had that kind of problem.

ELPH 180 cameras are now supported by CHDK.
Nice! I see from this chdk forum post that it also has filewrite/remoteshoot support. Which means it should work with chdkptp. Which means it should also work with TwoCamControl.

Re: TwoCamControl - fast two camera chdkptp photos (Windows)

FWIW I have used TwoCamControl with two cameras connected to a USB extension cable and then to an inexpensive noname USB hub (without external power supply) without any problem.

But hard to say if and why some USB hubs haven't worked in your setup. You might just have to try a few different ones.
