Re: Platten Thickness...
Hey Daniel.
I have come across two panels of glass found in the trash (measures 336mm x 464mm) but they are whopping 6mm thick. My question is, can a Plattern be too thick? - I'm concerned of reflection / picture quality moreso than weight.
Cheers mate.

Re: Ryan's Stowable Scanner Build Thread
I'm glad you're interested! I can't help much at the moment, but I'll try to answer specific questions. I don't have a build list or schematics--I just built it rather organically. When I designed it, I started with the stowed size--I measured an underbed box, and decided that would be the maximum ...

Re: Ryan's Stowable Scanner Build Thread
Thanks for your response. I have taken your tips on board, and I'm trying to recreate your build on sketch up so I can hand it to a carpenter (my brother) to then build it. Seeing as though wiki is down and you don't have schematics, and are you able to take more detailed pictures of each component ...

Re: Ryan's Stowable Scanner Build Thread
Hi Ryan.
Are you able to provide more detail in your design or built method?
I am a complete newbie and your design ticks all my boxes I want in a book scanner.
Thanks,
Zef

Re: DIY book scanner in Brisbane, Australia
Maybe you can get together with this user? http://diybookscanner.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2781 Thanks already tried. But like me, he is a one-post-wonder! I've contacted Hackerspace Brisbane who have listed a book scanner as a potential future project. I'll see if there are opporunities d...
