Re: Spreads for Post Processing

And it's done: https://github.com/DIYBookScanner/spreads/commit/fe749d46e0abdfe620b7d451c871cb99bcdd894d You can either wait for the new nightly source package and install from that, or download the `spreads/workflow.py` module from GitHub and overwrite your current file with it. Make sure that you ...

Re: Spreads for Post Processing

Ah, yeah, that is what I meant with "Note, though, that the pages won't show up in the web interface and you won't be able to do anything with them. I have not yet finished the code for that, but it should be ready soon.". Postprocessing/Output generation is currently not possible with wor...

Re: Spreads for Post Processing

Rich, can you please upload the whole log somewhere? Ideally when running with the "--verbose" flag.

Re: Spreads for Post Processing

RrangerRich, this bug has already been fixed a few weeks back, you should just have to update to a newer version. (See here: https://github.com/DIYBookScanner/spreads/commit/c525fa38580062512181eca5322f50cbee29962a). Note, though, that the pages won't show up in the web interface and you won't be ab...

Re: Spreads for Post Processing

Thank you, I think you found a bug :-) I'll look more closely into it and hopefully write a test and a fix and get back to you!

Re: Spreads for Post Processing

  • What version of spreads are you using?
  • Did you scan with spreads?
  • What's the content of "./scans/FarCry2test1/" before you run postprocessing?

Re: SpreadPi: The new DIY Book Scanner control system.

Probably not that relevant for our purposes, since a) most users will have an opaque case for their Pi and b) most will use a LED light source, which doesn't cause the issue :-) On a related note, I was able to get my hands on a Pi2 after all, I will try to make some measurements this weeks and will...

Re: Spreads Problems and Solutions

That sounds pretty much identical to my current setup.
Can you share a debugging log from one of you workflows? You can get it from the web interface.
Also, which version of the SpreadPi image are you using? I completely rewrote the CHDK driver two weeks ago, maybe that has something to do with it?

Re: Spreads Problems and Solutions

Is the keypedal attached to the computer with the web interface or the Pi? If it is attached to the Pi, are there any input devices attached to it besides the keypedal? As for the configuration file, you can find it on the Pi. SSH into it (using e.g. PuTTY on Windows) and modify it with a texteditor...

Re: SpreadPi: The new DIY Book Scanner control system.

Yup, I'm trying to get my hands on one, unfortunately most stores in Germany right now have a waiting list and won't have it before March... However, if you already have one, you can configure the web plugin to run in 'full' mode and install scantailor, tesseract and pdfbeads and test it for yoursel...
