I plan on doing a lot of books, actually. I have 1900 books on my bookshelves. At least 3/4 of them have not been digitized, afaik. 1/2 at the most optimistic (and given that I have a lot of decades-old books from small religious presses, not likely). So I know I want something serious in capability...

That looks very exciting--I can't wait! :D Will we get to know ahead of time about how much the scanner will cost? That would really help me out, to be able to start planning how much I need.

I'll answer your question on the previous page: I think I'd prefer to be notified when they're in stock (as long as there isn't some rush on it that I would miss out)--but would need have some idea of how much ahead of time, because I don't usually have a lot of spare money at any one point in time,...
