Re: Scan Tailor Advanced

Content Selection Thank you for fixing the cutting content bug. However i want to ask if it is possible to create a slider so one can choose the degree of how tight or how loose the content selection boundary works. I have thought of this too. Perhaps a feature where you can add a user defined amou...

Re: Scan Tailor Advanced

The bug of cutting off content edges has been fixed in a second ( commit ). The fix will be available in v1.0.9. Guys, if you know other bugs of official ST or other builds which haven't yet been fixed in STA, please report. Great, thanks! After the release of 1.0.9 will you be moving STA to the ST...

Re: Scan Tailor Advanced

Scanallthebooks , np, I'll easily fix that, ty for your report. I'm preparing a big "feature" update, it will be available in approximately one or two weeks. More info will be in the release notes of v1.0.9. After that I'll start moving STA onto the Experimental platform. Awesome, you're doing grea...

Re: Scan Tailor Advanced

Hey 4lex4, just tried ScanTailor Advanced and it looks excellent. It's great to see somebody is still developing ST! If you accept bug reports, I was wondering if you could fix the automatic content selection bug in a future update? Basically the automatic content selection estimates the content box...

Re: ST cutting off edges of content?

Well, the bug does results in parts of letters being unnecessarily being cut off on every single page, simply because the content box is being erroneously drawn at a lower resolution. This is not something that happens just some of the time...it happens all the time on every single page. I guess we'...

Re: ST cutting off edges of content?

or do I go insane working through hundreds of pages manually selecting content? I do an automatic selection first, and then check one page after the other and apply manual corrections if needed. Same with page separation or skewing. Yeah that's what I've been doing too, the problem is that ev...

Re: Cutter

Some guillotines have protection, like the one I'm using: https://www.amazon.de/Dahle-Hebel-Schneidemaschine-Schnittl%C3%A4nge-Schnitth%C3%B6he-Blatt/dp/B000KT959S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482346150&sr=8-1&keywords=dahle+561 However it is only rated up to 35 sheets. Bigger ones are more expensive, al...

Re: ST cutting off edges of content?

Thanks for the answer Tulon. So it's a small issue, easy to fix, but creates sooo much extra work. Dammit, I just wish I knew how to program so I could fix it! Unfortunately I can't go back to classic ST after using experimental, it's just so much faster and fluid. So...do I dedicate my life ...

ST cutting off edges of content?

Hey guys, back with yet another question about ST. It's not a huge issue, but I've noticed that if you use the automatic content selection it will be a bit aggressive in selection, and will more often than not cut off a few edges of the content. At the bottom this is usually the lower part of the le...
