Re: Cutter

Some guillotines have protection, like the one I'm using: https://www.amazon.de/Dahle-Hebel-Schneidemaschine-Schnittl%C3%A4nge-Schnitth%C3%B6he-Blatt/dp/B000KT959S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482346150&sr=8-1&keywords=dahle+561 However it is only rated up to 35 sheets. Bigger ones are more expensive, al...

Re: ST cutting off edges of content?

Thanks for the answer Tulon. So it's a small issue, easy to fix, but creates sooo much extra work. Dammit, I just wish I knew how to program so I could fix it! Unfortunately I can't go back to classic ST after using experimental, it's just so much faster and fluid. So...do I dedicate my life ...

ST cutting off edges of content?

Hey guys, back with yet another question about ST. It's not a huge issue, but I've noticed that if you use the automatic content selection it will be a bit aggressive in selection, and will more often than not cut off a few edges of the content. At the bottom this is usually the lower part of the le...

Should you always enable resolution enhancement?

I scan my pages @ 600dpi, and have read a few posts suggesting you set Scan Tailor to double the output dpi to offset the loss in detail due to the programs geometric transformations. I assume this is the same as choosing 2x resolution enhancement in the experimental version, which I'm using. Howeve...

Scan Tailor output BW vs Photoshop?

Can anyone explain how Scan Tailor does its BW conversion? I'm specifically wondering how it compares quality wise to doing the conversion in photoshop, either through adjusting levels or using Jetigen's blending modes method.

Re: Fujitsu ix500 vs fi-7160 - CIS vs CCD sensor comparison

Scans Page from a somewhat yellowed paperback: paperbackreduce.png Full size First scan is the 7160 using the Paperstream Capture software with settings: color, 600dpi, automatic size, save as .tif. Second scan is the 7160 using ScanSnap with settings: color, 600dpi, save as jpeg, lowest possible c...
