Re: Scan Tailor "Enhanced"

Tulon.

It was the enhanced version. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it and all is well now. I had installed the enhanced version into the same directory and I assume that was the problem.

Thanks for your time and thanks for the programme.

Re: Scan Tailor "Enhanced"

I downloaded the latest version but I cannot get it to batch process. It starts the process, scrolls down the pages but makes no changes to each page-simply leaves the question mark image.
I assume I am doing something wrong.
Any help much appreciated.

Re: A desktop Scribe-like scanner

I love the simplicity of that design. Can you explain what is
the purpose of the arrangement on the back of the arm that is holding the platen.
Also how is the arm attached to the main frame.

thanks

Re: Self-Adjusting Spine Support

I gather that that particular scanner costs $175,000. We soldier on.

Re: Google Docs

It is finding words ok-it is not attempting to correct words. The document I tested it on was a very old one with very old spelling.

Google Docs

I have uploaded several scanned documents to Google Documents and I just noticed that some form of OCR has taken place on those documents.
I had not OCR'd them myself.
Google Docs offers an amount of free storage though I have paid for the 10gb extra storage which is very reasonably priced.

ocr+google books

As I understand it ocr software reads and attempts to correct the scanned image. All Google Books even 19th century one's appear to have been ocr'd even though in some instances 19th spelling is different to today's spelling. In the early 19th century f was used instead of s, in some instances, lead...
