PTP Cameras: A List

I stumbled on this list looking for infomation on PTP cameras. Please add to this list as you can. Perhaps this is an alternative way to get a camera controllable by pc for book scanning. This list below comes from http://sourceforge.net/projects/libptp/ libptp (Picture Transfer Protocol lib) by kil...

Re: DIY Desktop CNC Machine

Rob, I did stop by the FabLab but I think I got the wrong guy. I have an email address I will get in touch with who I think is the right guy. I really like the site you referenced and that site works like I expected it to work. A fee base and then supplies and storage extra. I will try again at the ...

Re: DIY Desktop CNC Machine

Photoman, It seems that flattening pcb boards is not an impossible task. Perhaps I dont know enough about etching by machine...I take it that a roland pc router is a pc controlled milling machine? I looked for it but didn't find it by name. It seems there are interesting things in the world eh? Rob,...

Re: Eye-Fi (WiFi SD cards)

Thanks Misty. I think I understand. Your correct that I would not invest in a formal color chart as you described it. Much beyond my financial interest level at the moment. I could probably come up with some color swatches from a paint store as begining and end color standards to use in this sort of...

Re: DIY Desktop CNC Machine

What an interesting idea Rob. Neither I nor my husband have heard of the place and we have probably driven past it many times. We used to live off of 2nd street untill about July of this year. If it started up this year that may be the reason. The web site is a bit buggy/ quirky and has a rather lon...

Re: Eye-Fi (WiFi SD cards)

I create a standard raw development recipe for a particular book scanning environment and then batch it across every photo, so it doesn't add significant extra time to the process and does ensure more accurate reproductions. Misty, As I understand the above statement you must take a scan or two whe...

Re: DIY Desktop CNC Machine

<smiles> We have some similar wishes and wants... I am in the process of getting the supplies to make an aluminum foundry. I have thrown away to many plastic things and figure I will make replacement parts from aluminum. Small scale of course... a back yard kind of thing. Some of the parts on the or...
