As far as the flash.. that is probably just a standard flash setting.. you've probably got one camera that is set to flash, and another one it is turned off. Try taking a picture with each camera without chdk to verify that. As far as the two pictures per press, remove the lines that say "shoot_half...

You should have access to the wiki... I gave all authenticated users access to it (no need to make people go through hoops if they want to add to it) I probably should make the AutoRGB Levels smart enough so it can work without clicking the "Crop" button, but for now to work with filters, you should...

As far as your question on perspective and rotation, Fixing the perspective will also fix the rotation, so there's no need to fix the rotation first. As far as if perspective correction is worth it.. it probably depends on what you are doing with the book afterwards. OCR software tends to need thing...

For now I changed the code to force a period (.) as the decimal separator. In the future, I'll change it to be smarter and use the locale specific way of separating a list of numbers (like a semicolon).
