Re: Methods To Sense The 3D Surface/Structure Of A Book

I never got beyond the experimental stage. It did appear that the quality I could get from the laser approach wasn't as good as could be done with dewarping in ScanTailor.. but perhaps another set of eyes would help. I don't think I quite perfected the math to do the dewarping.. it was close, but I ...

Re: BookScanWizard 2.0

Are you using the webstart version or starting it manually?

If starting manually, how are you starting it?

Re: BookScanWizard 2.0

I think I've fixed the problem with NormalizeLighting. I've updated the webstart and manual version to 2.0 beta3. One change you'll need to do with your configuration is move the NormalizeLighting to the filters section so it appears after the crop. (What is supposed to happen is both the original i...

Re: BookScanWizard 2.0

For the last problem:

Replace

Code: Select all

SaveImages = JPEG NONE
with

Code: Select all

SaveImages = JPEG
you can also do something this to explicitly specify the jpeg quality:

Re: BookScanWizard 2.0

I'm having another problem though. Look these attached photos. When i use normalize lighting i get black borders around the edges. It seems to me that when i apply normalize lighting it crops before it fixes perspective, even though it's the other way around in the script. What to do? The script lo...

Re: Camera dual triggering

First step is to get a memory card with CHDK installed. Take a look here: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_For_Newbies_-_How_To_Install Next, bring up notepad or your favorite text editor, and copy and paste that script above to \chdk\scripts\remote.bas on the card. From the chdk menu, you load the r...

Color and lighting correction techniques

I've been playing around color correcting, and lighting correction, and I though I'd share some things I've tried. Notes about my setup I've got a (now old) "new standard" scanner, which I've surrounded by black fabric, with two holes cut out of the fabric where the cameras can look through. I neede...
