Re: Bindery

It took a while to setup, but djvusmooth does have the ability to edit boxing information and metadata.

I looked over this person's other software and the collection is quite impressive. I'm definitely going to look at those too.

Thanks for the link.

Re: Bindery

As there aren't any applications that allow editing of OCR data for DjVu, I thought I'd implement that into Bindery as well. For now, only the bounding boxes of the words are visualized. Implementing more complex interactions (for now just in-place editing) will be easy: Bindery_023.png A huge thank...

Re: Methods To Sense The 3D Surface/Structure Of A Book

My code is on GitHub, but is written in Python and requires a few modules to run.

Just as a warning, my code is somewhat functional. It isn't pretty nor will it work for arbitrary images.I might clean it up later this week, as the project is well over a year old, but I make no promises...

Re: Content box, margin and mixed mode?

Anything that isn't in a picture box will be converted to black and white. Content boxes define where the content is, as you want equal page sizes in the end (unequal content box sizes make your pages all funky when outputting to TIF files because ST makes all the images the same size by adding marg...

Re: Methods To Sense The 3D Surface/Structure Of A Book

I think Dan settled on two lasers because most book deformations happen near the top and bottom, where the center is linearly interpolated. The 3D grid might be a bit of an overkill in terms of processing power and resources. The dewarping code/logic that we came up with works with anything that can...

Re: Content box, margin and mixed mode?

I just wrap everything that is content inside of the content box (manually) and turn on mixed mode. If ST cannot recognize the pictures correctly, I go to Picture Zones and draw in the boxes by hand.

Re: Missing OCR text in djvubind?

Okay, I'm done with converting Bindery to Python 3. I've also attached my patch for djvubind (forum doesn't allow .patch extension so I had to rename it to .txt).

Re: Bindery

Sorry for the delay. I contacted Alexey and he gave me some very good information. Speaking Russian is a bonus after all!

I'm in the process of converting Bindery to Python3 ATM and will re-start PDF binding when I have more time.

Re: Missing OCR text in djvubind?

I'm still working on translating Bindery into Python3 because I can't import djvubind while Bindery still uses Python2. I'm almost done. Once I get that working I'll delete my stale copy of djvubind and start importing.

Re: Viewing background text in djvu?

DjView4 allows you to view the hidden text (under the View menu item): Menu_019.png As for editing, that's a different story. It's on my to-do list for Bindery, my DjVu (and soon PDF) binding program. It won't be difficult, but it's not a high priority for me ATM. I'm not aware of any programs that ...
