Re: Portable Software Suite...?

I need a portable suite which I can run on another's Windows-based PC which is (much) faster than mine. ScanTailor got one (http://portableapps.com/node/27566) but there seems to be no binding utilities meets my needs...? If you're making Djvu files, djvubind will probably work in Windows (it does ...

Re: Loooking for Software for personal digital libraries ...

Please give us an update if you find something that suites your purposes. I've tried looking a few times, always find some good apps but nothing that ever feels perfect. Right now I just rely on a very strict file structure and a desktop search program if necessary. Somewhat related, if anyone else ...

BTW, who has super cow rights to remove spam like the latest contributions of user "ClarkeRicks1"? A couple of us do... don't have the list off the top of my head. The spam has been very minimal for a while now, so I've gotten a little lax in checking in on it. Thank you for mentioning that one - i...

Re: What is the most efficient procedure to generate BW imag

So you're asking how to produce the smallest bitonal (b/w) image? I also take it you need it in an image format (png, tiff, etc.) and not a document format (pdf, djvu - although djvu is technically an image format, but anyway...)? If you need something that is loseless (absolutely no loss in quality...

Re: Introducing djvubind for djvu file creation

So, epub and mobi output would be nice. What is the best way to go about that with djvubind? Is it possible? Nope. I have no experience with epub or mobi formats, and even then, djvubind is not a generic image-to-format kind of tool. It's only purpose is to tie together existing tools to easily cre...

Re: Introducing djvubind for djvu file creation

Is there a "howto" for Windows installation? ... What do I have to have to run it on Windows? ... I know it's CL-only for Windows, but do you have a nice UI in Linux, or is it still CL? djvubind is only a command line program an any platform. Blender was making a gui frontend for it and other progr...

Re: open source

There really aren't any rules... I think most small projects start with a single developer who writes some code, chooses an opensource license of his/her preference, and tosses it on the Internet. Larger projects require more planning, of course. If you aren't a developer but just have an awesome id...

Re: Introducing djvubind for djvu file creation

I just released v1.1.0, available here . This version adds support for page titles, so frontmatter in the book can be page i, ii, and so on (in other words, page 3 in the book is page 3 in the file; page iv in the book is page iv in the file...). I tried to explain the new command line options for t...

Re: Introducing djvubind for djvu file creation

Thank you for catching this bug (that I'm really surprised no one else ran into). I've committed a fix to the repository. I hope to have a new release out sometime in the next week or so, but until then, if you don't want to mess with pre-release code, a work around is to move to the directory with ...
