Re: Twocamcontrol disconnecting my camera

It does not happen when I use the program on my desktop Check that you have the same versions of chdkptp on your Laptop and PC. If not then copy over the version from the PC to the Laptop and retry. Doublecheck that you have LibUSB installed for both cameras on the Laptop. Windows can in some situa...

TwoCamControl - use github for feedback

A note to TwoCamControl users: I will for the time being only use https://github.com/nod5/TwoCamControl/issues for feedback/bugs/issues for TwoCamControl . So if you run into an issue and want a reply, post there.

Re: Missing libusb0.dll

Hi, yes you need Libusb installed for both cameras for chdkptp and TwoCamControl to work. Vocola 3 (http://vocola.net/v3/) uses the built-in Windows Speech Recognition as input for local and global hotkeys and shortcuts.
Nice solution! I'm not familiar with Vocola, how long is the delay between the phrase you say and the action?

Re: Any way to convert book scans into PDF with vector text?

Do you know if this is only program with this feature? I don't know any other that has it, though I haven't tested ABBYY and some similar competitors in a long time so there might be something out there. https://github.com/ncraun/smoothscan is an opensource attempt but is far from Acrobat in text q...

Re: Any way to convert book scans into PDF with vector text?

Adobe Acrobat Pro has a good vectorization/"fontirization" feature. It was previously called ClearScan but now the option is called "Editable text and images". Read more about it here http://blogs.adobe.com/acrolaw/2009/05/better_pdf_ocr_clearscan_is_smal/ https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1810210 Ado...
