Re: Nokia PureView 41MP

This is AWESOME! I have a working Hackerspace bookscanner setup but am so excited about a portable (take to library for capture) setup that I just bought two used Nokia 1020s and now want to find (existing?) dual-camera mount to use in a miniature version of the bookscanner. 1. Any such creations ou...

Re: A DIY Book Scanner In Every Hackerspace /DIY Kit

IMG_2696.JPG My apologies if this is in the wrong thread, please feel free to move. It seems that to capture the gutter side of the book I need to wedge my camera downward (Canon IS...

Re: Needs source for Alltel Y-splitter

Thanks for your quick reply and three options, no less! :-D I will probably kludge together some gender benders etc and if that doesn't work I will splice something together. I would appreciate seeing your video on splicing technique. How's the move coming along? I am looking at ANOTHER move myself ...

Needs source for Alltel Y-splitter

Hi Everyone! Just putting my 'standard scanner' together today and can't seem to find a source for the Alltel y-splitter. I've gone to the Yahoo groups and the links there lead to a dead-end in Amazon.com and searching their data didn't find it either. I thought that the great 'Oracle' ,aka Google s...

Re: Do we want a camera/optics/photography section?

I would second this request! A question regarding this comes to mind, if I may ask in this thread... RE: Test pattern / procedure for aligning page plane to camera plane. (using two Canon A590s) Ideally I would place the book under the platen and have the cameras 'eye-ball' aligned but with a test-p...
