Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX

I think it is definitely a Qt library problem. I just downloaded the Qt 4.7BETA2 library set and it does not have the problem. I have tested tiff/png/jpg on a Leopard 10.5 PPC system and it seems fine now. Re-uploaded. Same link as before: http://www.4shared.com/file/brJuZB33/ScanTailor-0991.html MD...

Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX

I did test on a mix of .tiff, .jpg and .png and had no issues, but that was on the 10.6 system I used to build it. I just tested on a PPC 10.5 system and it crashed on a tiff and a PNG file. :( Ok, back to work for me. It is puzzling, but hopefully I will figure the cause out soon. It must have some...

Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX

Thanks for the note, I'll check it out an see if there is some interplay going on with the various libraries.

What OS version are you running, 10.5 or 10.6? And if 10.5, intel or powerpc?

Re: Finished my scanner

Because I'm a computer guy and not so much a hands-on materials guy, I guess pretty much the (at least rough) measurements of the main components. The idea being that I could take a list, go on eBay, and buy the stuff and between that and looking at your photos put it together. The fact that it all ...

Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX

[UPDATED 2010-08-09] Now builds for Tiger (10.4) and forward. Subject to more modifications, but here is the gist of how I build the standalone apps. When you see how simple it was, I won't seem so important at all. :) First, I downloaded the QtLib SDK. You could get by with just the libs/build tool...

Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX

Anyone want to donate a nice icon? :) And, looks like it may be easy to include a larger segment of the Mac user base.... Here is a build that is 10.5/10.6 - i386/ppc. I tested it on a 10.5 PPC machine, seems to work OK. No 64bit, but the only thing stopping that is that Qt is not yet distributing a...

Re: will1384's Book Scanner

See the Scan Tailor message area. I am working on a standalone .app version, but it may be 10.6/Intel only. Still, that is better than the current state of things. And if it works there, I may set up a Leopard machine and repeat the steps to build a version there, but let me not get ahead of myself....

Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX

Just a note - working on an OSX standard .app version of this. Unfortunately, it may be 10.6/Intel only. Hmmm... File is too big to upload here. I don't normally use file sharing sites, so I just picked one from a Google search. :) Anyone care to try this out? I do have one other non-development Sno...

Re: Single-camera scanner design with pix

I also like the simplicity of this design for a single-camera setup. It seems like you could get a pretty good page rate using this. Have you made any further changes or refinements to it? And, are the plexiglass sheets glued in the middle? I do not see what supports and holds them where they join. ...
