In fairness the units with inbuilt 5mp cameras ship for approx $800, the unit I referred to above ships with two 9mp cameras. they both come with software to control an on screen image.

The cheapest model which includes two cameras is $2530 plus shipping which works out at $353 for me. They are not cheap but they appear to be about half the price of ATIZ. They have a number of models capable of scanning up to A! size. I would imagine that's an attractive price for libraries etc. bu...

I am about to embark on a book scanning project of an important historical archive. i need to buy a camera and obviously looking at Canon etc. would any of the cheaper cameras mentioned here suffice?

Anyway i scanned one book with my iPhone 3gs just holding the phone in my (shaky) hand. The results are still outstanding. if you own an iPhone you really should experiment with this app. In trying to email the completed PDF the phone just shut down. However I retrieved the file from itunes. thanks ...

I am using this with an iphone 3 and it is very impressive.
How do i create a new folder?
The option to pick from albums- do i need to e.g. binarize page by page or is there a simpler way?
