Re: TwoCamControl - fast two camera chdkptp photos (Windows)

You hard work is much appreciated dtic. I STILL haven't got round to making my scanner yet, but the functionality this software provides will make my task so much easier. Thanks for all the help. :) I'm glad you like it :) Though the people who make CHDK firmware and chdkptp are the ones doing the ...

Re: F8 doesn't work in TCC

I suspect the F8 key is held long enough to after finishing the TwoCamControl hotkey also trigger the cmd window F8 keyboard shortcut. If you try using Space to trigger each shoot instead, does the same problem happen or not? If the problem only happens with F8 then check if this solves the problem:...

Re: Canon A2500 - setting apertue in TTC ? Is this posible ?

The only thing to add after duerig's answer is that TwoCamControl can only set whatever settings chdkptp have available, see this manual page https://tools.assembla.com/svn/chdkptp/trunk/USAGE.TXT . A somewhat related issue: In my experience glass reflections can sometimes negatively affect the focu...

Re: How to convert a book to serchable pdf using open source software

Nice going! One more tip: If you use chdkptp (which TwoCamControl is a frontend for) you can download each image directly to the PC. The big advantage with that is that a script can monitor the download folder for new files and immediately run them through a page cropper tool and then to Scan Tailor...

Re: How to convert a book to serchable pdf using open source software

First crop all images to include only the book page. My https://github.com/nod5/BookCrop is a quick but rough Windows tool for that but there are other methods out there. Also Scan Tailor Advanced offers this crop function - 'Page Box' at the 'Select Content' stage. Unfortunately this is not able t...

Re: How to convert a book to serchable pdf using open source software

Thanks for writing this, always interesting to read about what workflow people have. I used gThumb to check each 10th page to verify whether they in proper order. It has very convenient bottom panel with thumbnails. I may set ten thumbnails in a row, so each tenth page should be in one column. Nice ...

Re: BookGapCheck: Quickly check if there are gaps or duplicates in a set of book page scan images

It doesn't work for situations such as Bill's scanner Not sure what the issue would be. If you draw the area a bit larger then a little movement in the position of the book relative to the camera is no problem. But if the book is moved around a lot between shoots then yeah this might not work. Or s...

Yes. Should work ok if the page numbers are even only roughly at the same x/y position in each photo. Probably easiest if you give it a try and see if it works well with the type of photos you have to work with.
