Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX
Not hours. MacPorts is hugely invasive and contains tons of stuff you don't need for this build. I offered to make builds for Tulon but he didn't want the bother of putting them on his site, which I understand to a point since he is not supporting them. I have made builds all along. The sticking poi...

UPDATED: Building ScanTailor on Mac OS X
There are new instructions for building ScanTailor for Mac OS X that will produce a standalone application. They are located in the scantailor source code under "packaging/osx". I believe this worked completely from the Finder, no need to ever manually type anything into Terminal.app. The ...

Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX
In fact, once the right pieces are assembled (all documented), there is a single command line you run to build the whole thing. Speaking as both a programmer and a user... this is the problem. You and I are quite comfortable building a program from scratch, but many people are not. I know, it's har...

Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX
There currently is no full Scan Tailor.app for OS X. What happens when you follow these build instructions is that it creates an executeable file that you can run when you open the Terminal app, change to the scantailor directory, and type: ./scantailor to run it. Once you do that, the app pops up ...

Re: Beta 11
version 0.9.10 will be released in a few weeks. I won't be able to build a Mac version myself, but I am going to link to someone else's build. I can provide a copy of mine. I follow the instructions on the sourceforge web site, for those who use Xcode and MacPorts. I assume the output will be a sel...

Re: Unable to launch...
Yes, that problem should be fixed... Are you using the webstart version? No, I am using the download standalone version. The webstart version did work now that you mention it, but I like standalone. :) What version do you see when you choose Help, About? I can't get it to launch, no hope of doing a...

Re: Beta 11
Not yet. As I said above, I am having problems applying it. I asked n9yty to produce the patch differently, but haven't heard back from him. I'll wait some more, and then I'll try applying it by hand. I never saw the request, and still can't find it, but if you let me know what you need I will glad...

Re: Beta 11
At one point I had made detailed build notes, and included the support files to build on the Mac. They were included at one point in the repository under the packaging/osx directory. I don't know what the current state is, though, as I never got a scanner built and have had to move on to other proje...

Re: Unable to launch...
Ok.. I think I figured it out.. Evidently OSX requires ImageIO.scanForPlugins() to work right. Write once, run anywhere... yeah. Anyways, I've updated the code to 1.1c to fix this issue. Edit: Just heard from a mac user that it indeed fixed the problem. Sorry, was this meant to say the problem was ...
