Re: Missing OCR text in djvubind?

Fixed it (in Bindery, but I'm using a Python2 version of djvubind): def translate(boxing): """ Translate djvubind's internal boxing information into a djvused format. .. warning:: This function will eventually migrater to djvubind.encode """ page = djvuPageBox() line = ...

Re: Camera Alternatives

5 megapixels will barely give you readable text. I'd expect 8x10 pixel quality for individual letters, which is not very good. I recently purchased a Canon PowerShot A2200 for $79.99. Amazon is selling it for $96.00, but you can probably get it cheaper from Best Buy. It has 14.1 MP, full CHDK suppor...

Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)

The Software section is kinda just fermenting right now. I tried to migrate as much as I could, but there are many posts that don't really belong in the existing categories. Any suggestions?

Re: Dewarping Kickstarter?

ST just needs a few more checks for dewarping.

From my experience, I've found out that dewarping rarely works for pages where the representative lines' vertical offset is less than 1/2 of the content area's height.

I think making a wiki page or a thread would be a great idea.

Re: Dewarping Kickstarter?

ST has an eraser, sort of. You can make a Fill Zone and set its background color to white, which works well for me.

Re: Introducing djvubind for djvu file creation

While I'm here, @strider1551, would it be too much work for you to implement a dummy progress() function for djvubind? The only reason I can't include djvubind as a module in Bindery is because it doesn't have progress reporting, which is a core component of mine. If you want, I could write up a pat...

Re: Introducing djvubind for djvu file creation

Hello fellow Archer ;) Cuneiform constantly segfaults and crashes for me, so I think it might be cuneiform's fault, not djvubind's. If you don't have it already, get tesseract-svn from the AUR. It has page layout analysis (but I have no idea how to use it) and produces good results for me, even for ...

Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)

I've noticed that there exist many posts in Software that could be categorized as R&D more than New Software. Anybody for/against creating a category for this in Software?

Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)

Only thing that I can see is that the Help section will grow really quickly, as most of the posts in Software are either for help or a discussion about a certain problem.

I'll migrate the topics that obviously belong in some section and leave the rest intact.

Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)

Sorry guys, I'm a bit late to the party ;) The new layout looks marvelous!

It seems like basically everything is done, except for the Software category. Do you plan on doing anything with it?
