Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

i failed to mentioned that the way Adobe does it calculations is it takes the height/width in pixels and divides it by the DPI. eg. Scanned Width = 4000 pixels DPI = 96 DPI therefore inches = 4000/96 = 41 inches width Height would obviously be more. (could exceed 45inch limit) Now if you use STEXP d...

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

First of all, many thanks for going back to developing ScanTailor, I couldn't stress enough how the previous version helped me in academic work. I do enjoy using the new beta, but there seems to be one crucial issue, although perhaps I didn't get something right -- the TIF output images are not rec...

Thanks Tulon, i understand, thought i'd just try ask. I appreciate all that you have done with ST.

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

Hi Tulon, I know you said no feature requests however the below is not feature request but just a more logic way for laying out the GUI. 1. is it possible in the output stage to make buttons for mode selection instead of dropdown list. eg. Black and White / Colour Greyscale / Mixed. Similar to how y...

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

today, i just get crash with out of memory error after auto process select content. :shock: try changing the setting for "accelerate image with OpenCL" You can either 1. switch it off 2. select your CPU instead of GFX card I found the latter - by selecting my CPU instead of my GFX card i still get ...

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

It is erasing areas that I did select manually. i've processed dozens of scanned books with STEXP since it's release including latest and found nothing wrong with respect to the above. this part works well for me. the part i "feel" and i use the word feel because i haven't tested it thoroughly betw...

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

Hi Tulon, I am also having strange problems since latest version. It is to do when selecting Keystone or Curved pages in Geometric Distortion stage. I commence my process stage 1 and stage 2 stage 3 i select curved pages - this where the trouble begins It seems STexp struggles (takes many seconds ie...

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

Hi Tulon,

I can't seem to get the following alignments to apply to "all pages";
- top left and right
- middle left and right
- bottom left and right

the only ones that "apply all" are;
- top middle and bottom
- centre

Thanks

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

@Xerum, Wow those are some impressive speedup stats! Could you do a speed comparison with and without GPU (OpenCL) support? just processed 205 scanned pages (300dpi) i unchecked all accelerate settings and selected my onboard CPU output process speed was 33 seconds i then checked both accelerate se...

Re: Scan Tailor "Experimental"

More feedback for Tulon. I don't want to boast about the huge increase in performance. 600+ scanned paged books processed all less than 2 minutes each. It is surreal - i can now have 4 scanned books on the go at the same time all within minutes. I did lots of testing with Stage3 - Geometric Distorti...
