You'll want a "prime" or "flat field" lens. For the Nikon platform I can recommend the Nikon AF Micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D - it is an outstanding lens which will give you useful pixels across the frame. I don't know anything about Canon stuff, really. EF50mm 1.8 - approx $99, but ...

I've an A2 size scanner but I use DSRLs with prime lens so the quality is obviously excellent, not sure about Powershots. Will post some pictures later.

These are professional guides/slides and they come in many configurations. I haven't been on this website before but was looking at Bosch-Rexroth as a possible source for my movable parts. Hi, My scanner is complete but its absolutely unusable due the weight (of wood) on the platen (its large size for scanning A2). What I have used is the regular keyboard slides but I just came across this smi4motion and they seem to have great products, but I'm not sure which one is right for me. Can...

I've stopped receiving notifications on new replies. Yes, "Notify me .." is checked but I get no mails, my registered email is same .
