Articulated wooden bookscanner

Post by jp-willm »

This is a articulated diy-bookscanner project that needs :

- only a few kind of material (one section of wood stick, one thickness of plywood, 4mm screws, 4mm rods, 4mm threated rods, 4mm nuts and wing nuts, 4mm washers, 2 metal rules and a little bit glue)
- not many tools (saw and drill)
- only one camera
- no photo editing (except an eventual crop) because the pictures are all in the same position (no need too turn images of odd or even pages)

It seems complicated, but imho it is an easy to build bookscanner. 8-)

This looks like an interesting design. Have you built it yet? Do you have a photograph you could show us? Or a video so we can see it working?
