What glass so I need for my single page book scanner?

Built a scanner? Started to build a scanner? Record your progress here. Doesn't need to be a whole scanner - triggers and other parts are fine. Commercial scanners are fine too.

What glass so I need for my single page book scanner?

Post by Gothiczartan84 »

I am looking for a glass for my single page book scanner that I made myself. Can anyone here help me out on where and how to find a glass that don't leave reflection and glare?

I'm also making a single page scanner and the glass from my old flatbed scanner (actually a multi function printer) works great. It's not super heavy, but it does the job well enough and is light enough to pick up with one steady hand. I've heard you can get a sheet of glass cut pretty cheap too, but I feel kind of lost in hardware stores so the scanner glass seemed better to me.
