a small story for my scanner

Built a scanner? Started to build a scanner? Record your progress here. Doesn't need to be a whole scanner - triggers and other parts are fine. Commercial scanners are fine too.

i tried it on delete part didn't work . this autohotkey part is more important having 2 folders with same filenames and if delete one in a folder delete and the one from the other .

example
Originals folder filename a-0001, a-0002, a-0003, a-...
Shortcuts folder filename a-0001, a-0002, a-0003, a-...

if i delete filename a-0003 in Originals folder autodelete in Shortcuts folder and if i delete filename a-0003 in Shortcuts folder auto-delete in Originals folder .

the part auto-open is no more necessary cause i check in shortcuts folder if some pages are double or missed and i have open windows viewer for originals images so i go to the filename and delete or take note from the missed page and then i delete and the shortcut file.

having 2 folders with same filenames and if delete one in a folder delete and the one from the other
How about this

Code: Select all

OriginalFolder = D:\ebookscanner\17-7-21\teckthought\experiment\original
ShortcutFolder = D:\ebookscanner\17-7-21\teckthought\experiment\shortcutsoriginal

#IfWinActive, shortcutsoriginal ahk_exe Explorer.exe
Delete:
#IfWinActive, original ahk_exe Explorer.exe
Delete::
clipboard =
send, ^c
clipwait
if !clipboard
 return
;get only first file in the selection
Loop, Parse, clipboard, `n, `r
{
 FirstFullPath := A_LoopField
 break
}
Splitpath, FirstFullPath, FileName
MsgBox, 4, Delete these files?`n%ShortcutFolder%\%FileName%`n%OriginalFolder%\%FileName%
IfMsgBox, Yes
{
FileDelete, % OriginalFolder "\" FileName
FileDelete, % ShortcutFolder "\" FileName
}
return
#IfWinActive
You might want to change the folder names to something more unique to avoid triggering the script when you're in any other folder named "original".

thanks mohib . cost almost 25 euro without the smartphone .works with blutton trigger for more than 4.2.4 android Image

the part i used is from an old dvd some tubes that i found on a rubbish and brooms . i use the black button to trigger with Bluetooth the camera.

Image

and this one to check the best distance for smartphone and camera Image

the results with a 2 camera diybookscanner . i use chdk canon camera a3300 with electric trigger i can reach 1500 pages per hour 1 minute to start with autosettings and no errors . i have made a wooden base to have it in my fridge cause it took much space in my home. so i scan upstanding in a chair .with the electronic splitter i can have the best possible zoom cause camera give liveview in tv and can see where is the centre of the context.more zoom more dpi in specific distance better ocr and better result to read in a jailbreak ebook with Koreader .it is a very friendly scanner in using. once i scanned 5 books in 3 hours and dindt missed more than 10 pages with this one.
Image

i use abbyfinereader suggestion in process to verify if the results are fine
this page is 360 dpi and suggested from abbyfinereader 560 .captured with canon a3300 16mp in 2camera diybookscanner
Image

this page is 330 dpi ,abbyfinereader suggestion gives 530 .captured with mohibs scanner with an lg g3 13 mp. with better light the results can be better
Image

i think that this one is more accessible although i dint try to scan with this one i dont think that is as friendly as 2 camera scanner . but it need much less electronics ,triggers and parts from the online market .and the market is not with stocks. good or not i believe the smartphones are the feature in diybooksanner Image

In the photo you posted, the camera is casting a large shadow across the page due to the light source being over the camera. I'm assuming that for scanning you place the light elsewhere to prevent this?

If you post additional photos, can you you include a shot of the scanner with the light in the position that you use when scanning?
