Just a heads up, I had a buddy who worked on electronics at
hospitals and he always had lots of battery packs, usually 4 AA's
soldiered together and shrink wrapped. They were backup bat's
and they changed them out way>>>> before they needed it. He usually
had access to more than he could use.

Interesting. Are these packs rechargeable? Any other interesting surplus like switches or connectors?

They weren't rechargable but they were like new. They acted like an UPS
and would only have a draw on them for the time it took the generator to
kick in or while moving a patient.
I'm sure he could have gotten other
interesting stuff.
