Looks like the perfect thing for book scanning. Could be synced/shuttered by almost anything, including USB, you could put good lenses on it, and since it's Polaroid, which is just a brand marker you can buy these days, it will be cheap-ish. 18mpix, too. Can't wait to see if the image quality is any good.

Of course Polaroid also announced the android SC1630 and it never appeared, so I'm highly skeptical of any Polaroid products now :-).
