Minor issue with Canon camera

Post by ai4px » 10 Jan 2013, 11:17

When I screw my cannon a560 camera down snugly on the mounting plate of the scanner, it will shut off it I try to aim it. Apparently there is a small cam switch in the battery cover that shuts the camera off when you open the door... or in my case scoot the camera around pressing on the door. The solution was to place a thin shim under the camera near the mounting screw so that the battery door doesn't touch. I may just route out a recess in the mounting plate on the scanner.

This is probably an issue with all cannon cameras.
