Hi all,
Newbie here - but I've been reading the forum for a while, and have narrowed my search down to using two Canon PowerShot SX160 IS (16 MP) cameras. Has anyone tried these?
I know the spreadsheet suggests the Canon Power Shot SX130 IS 12MP as an option, but those are no longer made - so I'm assuming this is a sensible (and higher resolution) trade-up... But I figured I'd check first to see if there are any obvious missteps with my logic.
Anyway, would appreciate any input - and thanks for all of the informative posts.
Any experience with the Canon PowerShot SX160 IS?

It's probably worth checking out the porting thread for that camera at the CHDK forums: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=9523.0

The Canon A810 although discontinued is just about still around and has CHDK support what advantage does the SX160 offer?
Thanks John
Thanks John

Thanks, John - I hadn't noticed the A810 being still available. I just bought two. Fingers crossed - really appreciate your heads up.

But SX160 has manual focus and A810 has not. Isn't manual focus better to have? Both are now supported by CHDK.

I, too, have two SX160 cameras...and I need a LOT of HELP! Can anyone offer any?
