Hi all,
Just to add another option to the discussion:
I found these type of camera's:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Resolution ... 2156175727
It is basically a high-res industrial usb camera, with interchangeable lenses
An lens is available for $30 dollars or less, for example:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/50mm-F1-4-C-Mou ... 2f02a62508
(Not sure which lens to pick for scanning, above is an example)
So about $300 total for one complete camera that according to the specs is compatible with usb drivers. If one doesn need the high-res, there are cheaper options available.
What are your thoughts, anyone tried such a camera? I hope it could provide a long lasting camera, that is designed to take a lot of pictures fast. I am tempted to test them or something similar.
Cheers,
Floris
