Possible camera mounting solution

Post by mathesonmd »

I've been looking for a nice way to mount the cameras gives plenty of adjustability, is sturdy and will look nice. I plan to have my scanner reside in our hospital department library where we can scan old journals and out of print texts, among other things, so it has to look presentable. I happened upon camera mounts for surveillance video cameras.

They have small ball heads, which appear very adjustable and come with nice bases for mounting. Most are short with a small post threaded on each end or they have telescoping poles that should work great, although they are quite a bit more expensive. I would love to use the short mount for its ball head and base and make my own telescoping pole, maybe out of PVC somehow. Any thoughts?

PS-sorry, i couldn't get the URL thingy to make them clickable.
