I ordered this from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006ST ... 00_s00_i00 for extra lighting to my scanner.
Under product features it show that the LED has "Color temperature: 6,000K - Cool White light"
But when I tried it the light looks very Yellow unlike the LED I already have. I have not had time to test it on my scanner yet but I suspect that this yellow light is not good for scanning.
Have I ordered wrong LED?

Re: Wrong LED type?
The specifications also say that the LED you ordered is "Halogen Equivalent". According to [1], halogen light usually equals a color temperature of about 3000K. There is always the possibility that the seller has made an error and that the LED you bought isn't 6000K but about 3000K.
In my opinion, you should inform the seller and verify what the true color temperature is, and if it's the wrong temperature you should be able to return it at the sellers expence. You have bought and paid for 6000K, if the seller sent you an LED of 3000K that's the sellers problem, not yours.
Is there a product number or something else to identify the producer and/or the type of the LED in order to find some documentation on it?
