Some (crappy) videos of Google's linear book scanner

Post by rob »

I shot some crappy video of Google's prototype linear book scanner. You get to see a technology that's just getting started! Did I mention the videos were crappy?

Welcome back, Rob. It's been a while. Hey, the videos weren't that crappy.

It has been a while. Aside from approving new members, I haven't been around much. My new job at Google keeps me busy. No, I don't work for Google Books!

I just found this on the reprap forum and thought I would post it here. Its a lot easier of a design than I was working on. Might have to build one...

So anybody working on this projecT?
I designed this prototype using acrylic pieces. Need a little modification for the smoothness and perfect movement of saddle though. :|

Why does that remind me of a Battlestar Galactica Launch Tube?
