can you please tell me how big your scanned book is, after doing the cleanup and OCR.
I'm interested especially in books of about 100 or 1000 pages with just text or mixed

I normaly scann A4 size book and with books from 500 page up to 1200 I have
300 dip convert to PDF
In color 1 meg / page
In gray 200 Kbit / page
In black and white 125 Kbit /page

Now days I do not scann in black and white, only in gray scale and color
It is much more comfterbal to read.

625 page A4 book using Homer, BW output 31mB
289page A4 book using Homer, mixed BW/images (1/2 to 1/4 page image on most pages) 81mB
262page A5 book using Homer, mixed with BW/sparse images, central 8 colour plates 12mB
Freeware Windows workflow: 40Mb 400pg OCR'd A4 book pdfs
