Missing libusb0.dll

Post by draculadave1 » 18 Nov 2017, 23:36

I have installed the TwoCamControl software and downloaded the chdkptp program. When I run it, however, I get a message stating that the program can't start because libusb0.dll is missing from my computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the chdkptp program several times, but it does not fix the problem. I have tried to find a libusb0.dll file on the internet, but when I find one and download it, then try to use it, I get an error message tating taht this file is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.

Does anybody know where I can get the libusb0.dll file that I need to make the chdkptp program work?

I am running this on Windows 10 (I know) with a 64-bit system.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, yes you need Libusb installed for both cameras for chdkptp and TwoCamControl to work.

See https://github.com/nod5/TwoCamControl#dependencies , which link to the instruction here http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/PTP_Extensio ... or_Windows on how to use the free program Zadiq to install Libusb.
