Merry (upcoming) christmas everybody!
Just in time for christmas I finished the first working version of my OpenSource bookscanner software, called "Eazy BookScanner".
I made first successful book scans with two Canon A2200 cameras (and Archivist). An installed Java 8 or above (tested with 11) should be enough.
I appreciate your feedback. See code, download and discussion list under https://github.com/datazuul/eazy-bookscanner.
Happy book scanning!

It looks great! I will try to test it on a v-shape model with two powershots sx160is.
Have you considered using gphoto2 as a ptp interface instead chdk?
Thanks!
