Hello
My Canon's A2500 hasn't aperture setting from camera menu, but is this possible to control aperture by TTC in such simple and cheap cameras ?
In specyfication this model has aperture range F2.8-F6.9 , i use command :
-cmdwait=600 -av=6.9
but there occours some error
Meybe it is posibble to control aperture indirectly , by setting -tv paremetr ?
I ask about this becouse I make some test in my canon and there is big sharpness difference betwen F4 and F22 photos.
I hope I can increase quality of photos in my Canons by increasing aperture to maximum.

Canon's cheaper point and shoot cameras (like the A2500) do not have an independent aperture setting. The aperture range listed in the spec is how the aperture changes as they automatically adjust based on zoom level. DSLR and mirrorless cameras will give you sharper images regardless and since you can adjust the aperture setting, you can increase the distance range that is in focus.

You might be able to get better focus by adjusting focus settings manually.

The only thing to add after duerig's answer is that TwoCamControl can only set whatever settings chdkptp have available, see this manual page https://tools.assembla.com/svn/chdkptp/trunk/USAGE.TXT .

A somewhat related issue: In my experience glass reflections can sometimes negatively affect the focus lock chdkptp accomplishes. It is best to use the preview and check the resulting focus and if needed unlock, maybe move the book, platen, camera or book a tiny bit and then lock focus again until the result is better.
