split pages step: shortcut for single-uncut

Post by dtic »

I just found a shortcut for split pages (step 2): If you want to apply "single-uncut" to all images make the setting but skip running the batch job at that step. Click the single-uncut icon (the left of the three icons under page layout), the "change" button, and set scope to "all pages". Then go to dewarping (step three) and start the batch job there. Scan Tailor will now do both page split (following your setting) and dewarping. But this way the page split happens instantly. That means that the total time for step 2+3 is cut in half compared to if you processed the steps separately. If you want single-uncut for all pages that is. (Making the split page setting is still needed because Scan Tailor otherwise defaults to "automatic" which takes more time and can split differently than single-uncut.)
