Will +/- 5 dpi affect my scans?

Post by Indy »

For my current set-up my cameras are different distances a way from each other so they have different dpi, usually they are just 10 off (for example 236 dpi and 225 dpi). Will there be a noticeable difference if I just scan tailor the whole batch together setting a dpi of 230? I don't know if it matters but most of my scanning material is rather old, anywhere from the 1950's up, and has a lot of pictures in them.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, I don't know to much about post-processing work.

Should be fine I guess.
Scan Tailor experimental doesn't output 96 DPI images. It's just what your software shows when DPI information is missing. Usually what you get is input DPI times the resolution enhancement factor.
