[Offtopic] Opposite to Split pages?
Hello. Do you know any software that could (batch) stick two pages together? The opposite thing to "Split pages" under Scan Tailor?

You can always patch them together in Gimp or Photoshop, then convert the patched image to PDF. If you're starting out with two PDFs, those can be saved as images in Adobe Pro.

ImageMagick can join to images with the append option. You would have to write a script to do a batch process on a directory, though.
A quick untested example in python that should work, provided the directory contains *only* the images to be joined.

Code: Select all
#! /usr/bin/env python3
import os
images = os.listdir('./')
images.sort()
i = 0
while images != []:
file_out = 'page_{0}.tiff'.format(str(i).zfill(4))
os.system('convert -compress Group4 +append "{0}" "{1}" "{2}"'.format(images.pop(0), images.pop(0), file_out))
i = i + 1

Thank you for your replies.
I forgot to mention that I can already do this using FreePDF but I do not like the joined pages having a black border. Too bad FreePDF is based in the UNIDRV windows printer driver model and thus, it doesn't have an option for removing borders.
