There is a Firefox plugin called DownloadHelper that lets you download videos from YouTube, Vimeo and the like.
Scan Tailor experimental doesn't output 96 DPI images. It's just what your software shows when DPI information is missing. Usually what you get is input DPI times the resolution enhancement factor.

thxu Tulon
I tried that and failed - it's just giving me swf
also tried another video DL app (elmedia) and it too could only get swf

on my iphone I normally can DL you tube and vimeo, but not your video for some reason
app called downloadpro

I wrote to developer of that app, and asked why:
he said it's not downloadable as I can't see the play button thru the app

his instructions to DL vimeo to me, were:
<dysoftsupport@gmail.com> wrote:

Please follow these step:
1. Open the vimeo link.
2. Press Play button of video in webpage.
<PastedGraphic-1.tiff>
3. Using "Show All Links" function.
4. In "List of objects" please scroll to find the URL in form "http://player.vimeo.com/play_redirect? ..." then select it to download.

so any other options
as you can see I'm pretty useless technical
persistent maybe, but useless never the less

your help is greatly appreciated!

Hm, DownloadHelper did work for me, on that particular video. You do need to start playing it, then you press the little down arrow on the right of DownloadHelper icon on the toolbar.

What is the best learning video in English for beginners now anyway? I thought I'd introduce some friends to the software...

There exists only one such video - this one.

thankyou - great great video - finally managed to DL
Now I understand select content finally
I used a trackpad versus a mouse, and I can see your much much faster with mouse in demo

NB:
In firefox, and have Flashgot installed but that failed for me today (as it was asking for some mcoded (for conversion)

To DL successfully:
1 Let video run full length
2 Click button - Download helper (firefox addon)
3 hover over the vimeo scantailor video in the menu
another menu is shown to right
4 click quickdownload
mp4 saved
