New to the forum

I've been toying with doing this for several years and I'm thrilled to find this forum. I already have 4 Canons
3 of which are suitable. Overkill but I keep getting "as is" camera's on ebay
that really don't have anything wrong with them. One A620, two
A630's and one A640. That seems to have dried up as I'm having a hard time
finding deals on one for the few parts I need to resell some of them. I also have a very good copystand
or 2 and have 2 sincronized flashes for the cameras in the mail. I also have 2 or 3 old laptops for displays.
I'd given up on doing 2 pages at once until I saw this on Wired.

I'm leader of my local historical society and I want to use this to
1: Copy the newspapers that are crumbling and/or have not been microfilmed or the film is useless.
2: Scan the books that have been done to do an all name index. It's legal to index a copyrighted
book BTW.
3: Scan many of the old county record books to post online.
4: Scan the school yearbooks for the county.
I,m sure more will occur to me if I ever get that far.
I'll be posting more in the approiate forums but just wanted to introduce myself.
