Edinburgh Hacklab reporting in

Post by gareth »

Hi there,

I'm from Edinburgh Hacklab on the east coast of sunny Scotland.

We're currently debating the practicalities of putting a scanner in the lab since we seem to have a permanent space crunch in the site; but if we think we can do it I'll be back looking for some advice. Our likely route is one of the EU base kits + a couple of locally procured Powershots.

My first question though - do you guys maintain a map of the completed (or even in-progress) builds anywhere? It's hard to see if there is anyone local (for some value of local) who has been there before.

Cheers
Gareth

Greetings Gareth + Cheers to the Edinburgh Hacklab!

Currently, there is no list or map of builds, mostly because I don't personally have the talent to code something up. Do you, or does anyone know of a way that we could have users self-report the locations of DIY Book Scanners? It's been on my to-do list for almost two and a half years now, and Robbie Trencheny built a prototype a long time ago, but I'm not sure it was ready for primetime. I'm willing to use a 3rd party, and possibly paid, service.
