Hello and can I get a DXF file and parts list

Post by mrg9999 »

Hi Mr.G from England.
I'd like to build the archivist or similar. Where can I get my hands on a DXF or other file to program a laser cutter to cut out the parts?

I'd recommend that you read through the entire set of documents on the Archivist scanner here:

http://diybookscanner.org/archivist/

This includes links to all the design files and descriptions of all the parts necessary. The DXF design files themselves are linked from there as well. Just go to the bottom of any wooden piece and you will see a 5 foot x 5 foot DXF layout linked for all the wood pieces.

Once you are thoroughly acquainted with the design documents, you will be in a good position to move forward on making it. I can answer specific questions you have about it. Best of luck.
