I have two questions:

Any estimates on when more kits will be available?

About how much do the kits run for? I don't usually have much spare cash so will need to save in advance.

gutto12, I see the broken link and I will repair it. I'll post here when it is fixed (should be within a day or so).

However, this is an older model scanner which has since been replaced by Daniel's Archivist design. The Archivist is much better documented and can also be cut out with a CNC. Take a look at the Archivist website here:

I have had a lot of experience building Archivist scanners. So if you have any questions about it or want advice on how best to cut it out and get the parts, let me know and I can advise.

You know, I searched my Gmail, and I have privately received this question over two hundred times.

The DXF is dimensional. It has an integral scale. You can open it in either inch or millimeter mode - if you get it wrong, the result will either be 25.4x too big or too small. So have your shop open it, if it's tiny, or huge, have them choose the other mode.

If you look at any page from the /Archivist site, I created reference drawings for every single part. I did this to ensure that there was no confusion about size. Here's an example:

If you look at that PDF, it says the dimensions in inches. Any competent shop should be able to compare one drawing with one part and see if the scale is correct. If they aren't willing to do that, they are not worth using.
